Chips Production Head
We distribute packaged plantain chips and everyday food commodities along the Lekki-Epe expressway corridor. Our products move quickly through open markets, neighborhood kiosks, and wholesale accounts.
We are establishing our dedicated chips frying and packaging facility at Bogije, Ibeju-Lekki, and need a hands-on Chips Production Head to oversee raw green plantain intake, manage frying and packaging consistency, and lead a daily task-paid kitchen crew. Full accommodation is provided on-site.
Primary Job Responsibilities
- •Inspect incoming green plantain bunches at Bogije; enforce pulp density standards and reject bruised bunches.
- •Recruit, coordinate, and supervise a daily crew of 3–4 casual workers across peeling, precision slicing, frying, and heat-sealing.
- •Maintain calibrated oil temperatures and seasonings for consistent crunch, managing oil filtration to eliminate smoking or rancidity.
- •Defend product margins by keeping total processing wastage strictly under 0.5% with zero burnt batches.
- •Supervise portioning, packaging into dozen packs, daily inventory counts, and handover to corridor dispatch with zero count variance.
Major Requirements
- •Practical background supervising a commercial bakery, kitchen production, or food processing facility.
- •Hands-on experience with bulk food preparation, hot oil frying, or packaging lines.
- •Demonstrated ability to organize, respect, and direct informal daily-paid casual workers.
- •Willingness to live on-site in company-provided housing at Bogije, or currently residing in immediate proximity (Bogije, Lakowe, Awoyaya).
Compensation
The role provides a guaranteed base salary of ₦80,000 monthly plus company accommodation in Bogije. Additional batch yield and volume bonuses bring total monthly take-home to exceed ₦120,000+ based on meeting daily output quotas and keeping raw plantain wastage strictly under 0.5%.
Here is your 4-month operational roadmap:
- •Month 1: Full apprentice training & recipe mastery. Hands-on shadowing with our established third-party manufacturing partner to master green plantain selection, slicing thickness, oil temperature curves, and frying standards.
- •Month 2: Crew onboarding & facility setup. Recruit, onboard, and train your 3-4 daily task-paid workers (peelers, slicers, fryers, sealers) at our Bogije hub; run initial test batches and calibrate daily packaging speeds.
- •Month 3: Full ownership & production ramp-up. Take complete daily ownership of green plantain intake, managing daily worker payouts, maintaining zero burnt batches, and meeting dispatch targets for corridor delivery.
